The upcoming works are part of the Tengah town development plan, which includes a new expressway, a public bus service, cycling paths, and pedestrian walkways. The expressway will run parallel to the AYE from Jurong to the northern part of Tengah, cutting the travel time between Tengah and Jurong by up to 20 minutes.
