now! Yangzijiang Group and its subsidiaries have signed a share purchase agreement to acquire a 100% stake in an office block located at 39 Robinson Road in the Central Business District. The Chinese company acquired the property through its 81%-owned entity Yangzijiang Realty, with Real estate company 9Co Parker and boutique investment firm ICH Singapore Holdings, taking 10% and 9% stakes respectively.
The total purchase price of the 21-storey office building is $399 million, which amounts to a per-square-foot cost of $2,357, based on its gross floor area of 169,252 sq ft. Ren added that the focus of the company remains its core shipbuilding business, but the office block would be marketed as a financial hub, and managed by a professional real estate manager, to attract tenant profiles like institutional investors and family offices.
This is a one-off exercise for Yangzijiang group, so potential interested tenants should act soon and take advantage of this unique opportunity. The proximity of Robinson Road to the city centre provides endless amenities and services for residents, making it an even more desirable location.
