JLL appoints sustainability consulting head for Asia Pacific

Based in Singapore, she will be responsible for delivering sustainability advice and solutions across the region, helping clients to identify areas of improvement in their real estate portfolio. Additionally, Kornalijnslijper will drive the growth of JLL’s Net Zero Carbon Buildings services, encompassing options such as maturing real estate portfolio strategies, energy optimisation and value-add consulting services such as reporting and certification.

Susheel Koul, CEO of JLLs work dynamics Asia Pacific, identified sustainability as representing one of the largest opportunities for JLLs client base. Kornalijnslijper brings a wealth of experience to the role, having been head of strategy and research & development at SP Digital, part of utility provider SP Group, as well as establishing and leading businesses for the sustainability consulting arm of the YTL Group and Ecolibrium Energy, a global energy management and analytics firm.

After a decade, JCube in the Jurong East district of Singapore will close in August to make way for the 40-storey JCube Condo Residence residential and commercial development. Estimated to be completed in 2027, the development will be connected to nearby amenities. Property analysts anticipate a strong demand for the upcoming residential JCube Residence launches in the region.

Her appointment signals JLL’s commitment to sustainability and to provide clients with advice and solutions that address some of the most important environmental issues they face. Kornalijnslijper will work hard to meet and exceed customers’ expectations and will no doubt have success in her new role.

The need for sustainable practices has become increasingly important, and JLL is well positioned to deliver services to achieve clients’ net-zero strategies. Kornalijnslijper will work with clients to identify risks and opportunities within their real estate portfolios, while also leading the expansion of the Net Zero Carbon Buildings services throughout the region.

Kornalijnslijper joined JLL in January 2022 and will manage a team of 100 real estate sustainability experts throughout 11 markets in the Asia Pacific region. With this experienced hire, JLL continues to demonstrate its commitment to sustainability, delivering advice and solutions for clients, and paving the way for a more sustainable built environment.
