Tengah town infrastructure works to benefit JCube Condo residents with new road interchange connecting to PIE and Jurong Canal Drive

March 4th, 2023

JCube condo residents at Tengah town can now look forward to better connectivity with the new road interchange connecting the Pan Island Expressway (PIE) and the Jurong Canal Drive. The JCube Condo new interchange will provide direct access to the PIE from Jurong Canal Drive, making it easier for residents to get to the city centre and other parts of the island.

The new interchange is part of the plans for Tengah town, which is the first smart and sustainable town in Singapore. It will be equipped with features such as autonomous vehicles, electric vehicle charging points and self-sustaining green spaces. The town will also feature a self-contained nature-centric town centre, which will be home to the Jurong Region Line station.

The new road interchange will allow JCube condo residents to enjoy more convenient access to the PIE, as well as other parts of the island. They will also be able to get to their workplace and other amenities faster, thanks to the improved connectivity. The interchange will also make it easier for residents to get to the Jurong Innovation District (JID) and Tuas Port, two major industrial areas located in the West.

The interchange will also be connected to a 11-kilometre-long sky corridor, which will allow pedestrians, cyclists and autonomous shuttles to move seamlessly within the precinct to nearby transport hubs and lifestyle options. This sky corridor will connect two ‘car-lite’ districts, Tengah and the Jurong Lake District (JLD).

The new road interchange is part of the larger plan to make the West a destination of choice for living and work. With the introduction of new infrastructure works, JCube condo residents can look forward to more convenient access to the PIE, as well as other parts of the island. They can also enjoy a good quality living environment with easy access to quality amenities, generous green spaces and dedicated gardening and farming spaces.

The new JCube Condo development in the Jurong East region of Singapore is set to benefit from the completion of key infrastructure works in the nearby Tengah Town. The works include the construction of a new road interchange connecting the Pan Island Expressway (PIE) and Jurong Canal Drive, as well as the completion of a pedestrian bridge linking Tengah Town to the Jurong Innovation District.

The new interchange will enable easier access to the JCube Condo development, as well as other parts of the Tengah area. The new road interchange will also provide a direct route to the upcoming Jurong East Integrated Transport Hub, which is slated for completion by 2027. The new interchange will have two lanes in each direction and will replace the existing T-junction at the junction of PIE and Jurong Canal Drive. This will improve traffic flow and reduce congestion in the area.

The completion of the pedestrian bridge will also provide residents of the JCube Condo with an easier and more direct route to the Jurong Innovation District. The bridge will link the Tengah Town to the district and provide pedestrians with a safe and convenient route to the area. The bridge will be approximately 150 metres in length and will span the Jurong Canal, providing a direct link to the many amenities, educational institutions and businesses in the area.

The completion of these infrastructure works will greatly benefit the residents of the JCube Condo development. The new road interchange will provide easy access to the PIE and other parts of the Tengah Town, while the pedestrian bridge will provide a direct route to the many amenities, educational institutions and businesses in the Jurong Innovation District. These works are part of the Singapore government’s plans to transform the Jurong East region into a vibrant and dynamic hub for business, leisure and recreation. With the completion of these infrastructure works, the JCube Condo development is sure to be an attractive residential option for those looking to live in the Jurong East area.
